23 giugno 2010 Just Music Makers @ Cortile Della Farmacia, Via Giolitti 43, Torino
dalle 19:00 alle 03:00
http://www.justmusicmakers.com/public/?p=412

passEnger + xluve
by francesco on Mar.16, 2010, under Artists

passEnger and xluve’s paths crossed thanks to their common passion: their depth of feeling and insane attraction for anything that has to do with music, sound, technology, inspiration, innovation and art.
The two first met in 2005. From then on, their relationship (in itself a kind of osmosis) allowed the two to develop and refine their respective musical and technological abilities and begin a collaboration that now covers various fields.
As far as production work is concerned, the turning point came in 2006: a demo containing passEnger tracks mixed and mastered by xluve, sent to various European and American labels, attracted the attention of producers such as Dan Curtin and Arne Weinberg.
In 2007, two EPs were published with the German netlabels Night Drive Music and Cosmic Playroom, and a third EP with Sula Muse, owned by British DJ and producer Paul Mac, which earned positive feedback from some of the most influential producers in the scene, including Laurent Garnier, Fabrice Lig and Convextion, and even from DJ 3000 and ‘Mad’ Mike Banks from Underground Resistance.
2008 brought a digital release for Radiance Collective and the first release on vinyl: The Funk/The Fall. Published by fast growing Turin-based label Eclipsemusic and mastered by Detroit-based dj and producer Aaron-Carl, the 12″ has already earned excellent reviews in the world of Techno.
In 2009 new material has been released by LOGOS Records and Echoplex’s Soleil Records.
Their live set is a personal travel in between Techno and Electro, crossing deep spaces of sounds while riding abstract grooves and emotional sequences.
The singular feature of the performances is the fact it’s really played: the combination of computer, drum machine and synthesizer, developed both with loops and unrehearsed sequences, make every performance different from the others.
Acclaimed in various venues around Italy, in January 2008 it was performed in Dresden, it was the live set which opened ‘I AM’ festival (Turin, April 2008), it was presented during Club To Club 2008 and finally in February 2009 is was showcased in Glasgow at ‘Slabs Of the Tabernacle’.

passEnger “Black Varian Remixes” eclipse004 coming soon!
by francesco on Mar.15, 2010, under News

Italian based eclipsemusic’s fourth outing comes with a serious release courtesy of passEnger, talented artist whose productions can be heard on Night Drive Music, Paul Mac’s Sula Muse, Logos Recordings and Echoplex’s Soleil.
This new 12″ confirms his interest in deepest and more underground side of Detroit Techno.
Black Varian was the highlight of his digital-only release on Radiance Records back in 2008. We instantly fell in love with it, and now, improved and remastered by Aaron-Carl (Wallshaker, Detroit), finally lands on vinyl.
With its evolving and ear-catching sweet strings, its delayed cascades of cymbals and piano’s, swinging synth lines and subtle baseline, this is already a little new classic for the label, crossing the borders between Detroit Techno and deep groovy house.
The release is completed by two strong remixes: Paul Mac strips down the original and builds a dancefloor number keeping a few catching elements for massive impact.Just out on Connaisseur with her new album, Estroe takes the track on an emotional ride creating new harmonic vibes while keeping the deepness intact.

by francesco on Jan.27, 2010, under News
Roberto Bardini is a deep techno producer from Turin (ITA). He’s amongst the few enlightened producer/djs who “declared independence” from the current minimal-techno mainstream. His musical approach is by all means deep, and through this he casts his vision of a more mature and alternative dancefloor.
Well known alongside labels such as Shyan Music and Plastic City, in 2007 starts a collaboration with Eclipsemusic and this is his second apparence named “New Perspectives EP” features a slow-motion deep house vibes especially “Through Together” amazing synth texture running on pads pattern in classic Rob’s style deep as the ocean, music with soul and appropriate track for sunset landscapes and beach time dancing, the titletrack “New Perspective” is more techno oriented production with dub style chords and raw clipped bass, a new form of dub techno music better for dancefloor situations. Rob confirms himself as a innovative deep man walking!

Decoside
by francesco on Jun.23, 2009, under Artists
Giakomo Rondinella AKA Decoside is a deep & dub-techno dj and producer born in Turin in 1981.
His first contact with breakbeat, drum&bass and hip-hop rhythms, happen as breakdancer, representing the italian scene in contests all around Europe (during Zurich’s Battle Of The Year in 1999 he classified in the top 10). The love for techno music born in the years of the army service. Not satisfied with being just a clubber, Decoside buys his first decks and mixer playing endlessly to improve his skills.
At the same time, he start producing his beats, in the beginning just cuting some loops to boost his dj set, then with his own production of tracks destined to the publication. In 2006 he releases his first ep called “Identidad” for the spanish net label Off Audio, strongly influenced by minimal and glitch grooves. His latest work was released in 2007 for the Italian digital label Stomafunk, 3 tracks with a much darker sound named “Luna Park”, in 2008 his talent catches the attention of “Pronounce Records ” dub techno label from Detroit which includes his track “Storm Slowly” in “Depth Perceptions Vol 1″ alongside producers like Quantec and Atheus.
Now he is part of Eclipsemusic’s crew with two beautiful releases of a 3 records set series named “Reload”, supported by the likes of Brendon Moeller, Atheus and more…
Actuallly he’s working at the 3rd chapter !
Rob.Bardini
by francesco on Jun.23, 2009, under Artists

Roberto Bardini is from Turin and he’s born in 1976. He’s amongst the few enlightened producer/djs who “declared independence” from the current minimal techno mainstream. His musical approach is by all means deep, and through this he casts his vision of a more mature and alternative dancefloor.
He started djing in 1991, when he got involved as a producer in the Italian hip-hop scene for seven years.
Then the ambient sounds of people like Autechre and Orbital, Zen Paradox’ acid trance and the mystical compositions by the likes of Vangelis and Jarre, took him away from hip hop.
Roberto’s new attitude to production was now completely electronic, focused on his love for the “deep” dancefloor sound. Fascinated by West Coast American tech house (Alvarado and Graham for instance), he starts searching for a different sound, alternative to what was going on in Torino dancefloors at the time. He starts djing in ‘99, just when he gets to produce new tracks.
He’s deep by all means, constantly representing this sound in many dj sets in Turin, Milan, Bologna (at the infamous Street Parade in front of more then 20.000 people), and in France and Switzerland (along with Akufen and Popnebo) as well.
In 2006 Rob releases his first EP on Shayn Music, a deep techy label from Koln, and other tracks divided in two EP’s on Toronto label Sentient Sound.
In ‘08 his first release on Eclipsemusic “Touching You EP” captured the attention of figures such as John Daly and Jus Ed.
